Wait. NO!

I very well could be the most impatient person in the world.
I’ve never liked waiting.

No matter what I have going on or how much or little I have to do,
I always tend to be in a hurry.

Lines don’t make me happy.
Traffic makes me mad.
Slow people get me frustrated.

It’s just something I’m not good at…waiting.

It often gets me in trouble though…

I often miss out on what I could have because I’m unwilling to wait.
I’ll buy something that seems really good only to see something better in stores a few weeks later.

I try to make things happen in my timing.
I sometimes miss out on God’s blessing because I’ve jumped the gun.

I’m learning….
Trying to learn.

That the best sometimes comes to those who wait.

What are you waiting on?

  1. Seven kids have taught (are teaching) me patience but I am waiting on some news for the beginning of the New Year…trusting for direction as well. It’s amazing that when you wait on Him
there is great peace. Bless ya bro’ and thanks for sharing!

  2. I’m right there with you man. I’m definitely not a patient person. I get frustrated when the line at the grocery store takes longer than 5 minutes. But…the past two years have taught me to trust in God’s timing. Not always fun, but definitely worth it.

  3. This is a hard lesson to learn for *many* people.
Two of the things I struggle with most in this life is “waiting” and finishing what I start.
    Great post, great reminder.

  4. Mo

Great timing (again) for this post….i am currently waiting to hear from a couple of places i applied to for a summer internship. Not in my hands anymore, but in God’s. I have learned (the hard way mostly) that His timing is perfect. He’s never late or early.
The saying “good things come to those who wait” is very true,.but i would add “and to those who trust in God”
