Colossians 1:13-14 have been stuck in my head all day. Here’s what it says…
“For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”
What amazes me about these verses is the fact that all of the gifts come to me. He rescued me from darkness and sin, brought me to Jesus, with the purpose of redemption.
The fact that He rescued us would be enough, but He goes further and places us with Jesus and forgives us of our sins!
I get all the accolades, but He does all of the work!
That’s the story of the Gospel…I am rescued, I am redeemed, I am forgiven, and it’s all by what He has done!
Can’t you just hear God saying, “I love you this much!”?
