Reality Devotion: Passion

Scripture:

1 Corinthians 10:31 “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”

Devotion:

Life often seems like one tedious task after another. Sometimes the routine that we get in seems to have no bearing on our lives, much less eternity. The result, we go through the motions of life. We do just enough to get by. We do just enough so that our parents won’t get mad, our spouse will be satisfied, or so that our boss won’t notice.

This is not the life that God called us to live. Paul makes it very clear in this passage that every task we do should be done with the idea that God will receive the glory. When we begin to keep that at the forefront of our minds, our life stops revolving around tedious tasks and becomes passionate for the cause of Christ!

Reality Questions:

Am I a good steward of what God’s given me? Do I use it for His glory?

What tedious tasks do I need to turn into a passionate service for Christ?

Prayer Points:

Ask God to help you to live life with passion for Him.
