Just One More

No, this post isn’t about what you may be thinking it’s about.

Here’s my thought…

The road to success and accomplishment isn’t built all at once, it’s built in just one more.

When you’re working out, there’s a saying that goes something like, “Muscle is built in the reps you did after you couldn’t do anymore.” In order to do more reps after you “can’t do anymore” we have to have a just one more mindset. We don’t think that there are 5 more, we just believe we can do one more. As we do one more, we discover that we can do one more after that. Before you know it, you’ve done 4 more reps than you really thought possible.

This concept translates to many parts of life and faith.

When we’re stepping out in faith and trying to be faithful with what God is speaking to us, we just have to take one more step of obedience. As we take that one step, God opens things up for us and reveals the next step. He doesn’t expect us to jump, he expects us to step… Just one more time.

As you’re at work, you can live by the just one more mindset. When you think you’ve done a good job, is there just one more thing you can do to make it even better?

As you lead, is there one more thing you can do to serve those around you or push whatever it is you’re leading forward? Is there just one more step that would make something go from being good to being monumental?

Just one more….
Yeah, you can do it!

    Thanks I needed this today.

    1. Glad it was timely!

  2. I’ve been applying this mindset successfully to get 5 bursts of energy to my physical workout, hadn’t thought of applying the concept to other areas of life. It could work!
