Remember When?

Remember when?

How many times do we say that when talking with an old friend or a roommate or someone we knew in high school? We usually say it in positive light….

Remember when we would talk on the phone until early morning?
Remember when we’d go to football games and go to the Waffle House to eat after?
Remember when Jim tripped in the grass going in the front door?

We like to remember when. Personally, my wife and I have had a lot of “remember when’s” lately. Since recently picking up our lives and moving a couple of hours away, we’ve had those times where we see something that reminds us of where we were and we start the conversation with, “Remember when?”

A couple of weeks ago, I had to go back to our house to check on things as we wait for it to sell. Walking through, even though it hasn’t been that long, I kept having those “remember when?” moments.

‘Remember when’ moments aren’t just for remembering, they can also be for restoring and reinforcing.

Sometimes, we need to remember when…

Remember when we thought that loved one was going to die from that cancer? God healed it.

Remember when I was lonely and thought no one cared? God brought someone.

Remember when we had no idea how we’d keep the lights on? God paid it.

Remember when we thought our marriage may not make it? God restored it.

Remember when…

When you don’t know how it’s going to turn out.
When you don’t know where it’s going to come from.
When you’re at the end of your rope.
When you think God’s calling you to take a faith leap.

Remember when ?!

He’ll do it again!
