2 Reasons Not to Give Up on What Seems Hopeless

But the Lord said, “Go, for Saul is my chosen instrument to take my message to the Gentiles and to kings, as well as to the people of Israel. (Acts 9:15 NLT)

God’s Plan

Aninias was surprised when God told him to go help Saul (Paul). Saul’s reputation had preceded him. People thought he was bad news…. and he was. He was bad news until Jesus met him and blinded him on the road to Damascus. At that point, Saul’s life changed radically. When God called Aninias to help remove Saul’s blindness, he wasn’t so sure… but he obeyed. God’s plan changed everything. God’s plan for Saul to change the world changed things.

Don’t give up on what may seem hopeless chose, Aninias couldn’t see it, but God’s plan was at work. You may not see it in that person or situation, but God’s plan is still in the works. Don’t give up!

God’s Transformation

God transformed Saul. So much so that he changed his name to Paul. God transformed Paul into something great. Don’t underestimate God’s transforming power. Before you give up on someone or some place or something, remember that God can transform what’s broken, incomplete, and seemingly worthless.

Don’t give up. Have hope.
