Acts 17:6 “…These men who have turned the world upside down have come here also,“
I came across this passage several days ago and it has literally kept me up at night.
I so desperately want this to be said about me.
By my family.
By the people I work with.
By the church I minister to.
By people I come in contact with.
This can’t be said of someone without living out a life of Jesus.
After all, that’s exactly what Jesus did…He turned the world upside down.
He went against the normal.
Loving the unlovable.
Having unshakable faith in the face of adversity.
Relentlessly pursuing the voice of God.
Obeying Him without hesitation.
Now, I realize the context of this passage.
I know that the early church and Paul dealt with some serious persecution because of their tendency to “turn the world upside down.”
I’m ready…
I’m ready to be bold and reckless with my faith.
I’m ready to trust God to do the impossible.
I’m ready to face the backlash.
I’m ready to get out of my comfort zone.
I’m ready to…
turn the world UPSIDE down.
I hope that you will join me.
Today’s world will never be the same.
Let’s do it in 2011!
Leave your name in the comments if you’ll join me in turning the world upside down for Christ.
Here’s what I want us to do if you’re willing to join me…
Pray for the other names listed as we begin a new year.
Encourage each other whenever possible.
turn the world UPSIDE down.
