Ever since the day I left for college, and to this day, my Dad has always had a saying that he says every time I leave him or end a phone conversation. Dad always says,
“If you need me, you know where to find me.”
What Pops is really saying is this…
- I’ve always been there for you, I’m not going to stop now that you’ve gotten a little older.
- We’ve been through a lot, I’m here to help you through more.
- No matter what you need, I’ll find a way to help you.
I always give the same reply to Pops when he tells me this…
I always say, “Yep, I know.”
Last weekend, I met my folks half way between the 2.5 hour distance between our two homes for a few hours.
When I left, Dad’s saying stuck with me more than usual.
The truth is, my Dad will always be there for me.
Dad means what he says.
What’s really amazing is that our Heavenly Father says the same thing to us….
- “You know where to find me.”
- “I’m here for you.”
- “I want to be here for you.”
- “I love you regardless of what you think of me.”
- “I’m here to help you in the good times and the bad.”
- “We’ve been through a lot together, I’m here to take you through more.”
- “You don’t have to do life by yourself, I’m here for you.”
God is there for you.
You know where to find Him.
He’s promised to never leave you or forsake you.
Don’t do life on your own.
Your Pops is waiting to be there.
You know where to find Him.
Matthew 7:7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”
