A Sacrifice of Praise

Hebrews 13:15

Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that confess his name.

The highest praise/thanksgiving that we can offer God is a sacrifice of praise. Praise doesn’t come out of a ritual that we always do. True praise doesn’t even come when we feel like it. To offer a sacrifice of praise means that we praise God with our heart. A sacrifice of praise means we’re willing to praise God when things aren’t going the way we want them to.
Are you praising/thanking God today because it’s easy to do it on a holiday reserved for “Thanksgiving,” or are you offering a sacrifice of praise through a spirit of worship?
