Thomas Edison, after many unsuccessful attempts, said, “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”
I think that it’s safe to say that Edison was an optimist.
I think it’s safe to say that those that think this way live happier and more joyous lives.
I think it’s also safe to say that most people don’t have this outlook on life. Most of us look at failure and think the worst. Most people look at their lives and think the worst. A lot of people even wake up thinking about the bad that will come in the day or dreading the day ahead.
Pessimism is bondage. It creeps it’s way into our lives through the negative people around us. The fallen world that we live in puts pressure on us to become negative people. We have to break free!
As Christians, we should be the last ones to have a negative outlook on life. We have been granted a great opportunity to live for something besides ourselves. We have been blessed by God with the gift of salvation.
Don’t allow the bondage of pessimism to tie you down! Think about what you’ve been blessed with. Think about who loves you. Look forward to the blessings God is going to give you and the transformation that He’s doing inside of you. Think positive! Allow God to free you!
