grace.

grace.

According to Webster, grace means…

unmerited,
divine,
assistance
given
humans for their regeneration or
sanctification.

grace.

We can’t earn it. It’s completely unmerited.

We can’t be good enough. It envolves divine intervention.

We can’t get salvation on our own. It requires assistance.

We can’t go get it. It’s given freely.

We can’t control it. Sanctification comes only through Jesus.

grace.

Just accept it.

From My Journal – God LOVES Me!

While I try to be as transparent as possible on this blog, it’s not often that I share something directly from my heart and raw in nature.

But, I wanted to take a second and share something that I wrote in my personal spiritual journal a few days ago.

I think that many of you, like me, need to be reminded of this today.
In fact, I think we need a daily reminder of this.

Here’s what God spoke to my heart a few days ago and has been reiterating in my spirit…

I have no idea why I mean so much to God,  but I’m so glad that i do!  He has my best interest at heart,  and the best interest of everyone in the world.  He works it all out perfectly. I don’t need to worry… The God that is above me loves me for more than even the greatest  people around me.

He is watching,  blessing,  and playing out His story. It’s not God’s desire for me to guess what he’s got up to or be surprised when he comes through…. that’s just what He does… his timing is perfect,  his blessings are many,  and his gift is eternal!!!

What’s God been speaking to you that we may profit from hearing about?

God Hasn’t Forgotten You!

I sent this tweet last night.

It seemed to hit a lot of people at just the right time.
There are a lot of people hurting right now.

You need to know: this is completely true.

We need to remember…

God doesn’t forget us even when it seems as if He hasn’t been near.
God hasn’t abandoned us even if it seems we’re losing the fight.
God hasn’t given up on us even when He’s had the right to.

God has a grand plan…

A plan for His people to profit.
A plan for His people to be with Him.
A plan to use you to further His kingdom.
A plan for Him to show His might.

Sometimes, it may seem like it’s taking longer than it should or isn’t turning out as He promised,
but it’s all in that same plan.

Today, maybe all you need to know is….

God hasn’t forgotten you, abandoned you, or given up on you. His grand plan is still playing out. Hold on!

Isaiah 12

In that day you will say:
“I will praise you, LORD.
Although you were angry with me,
your anger has turned away
and you have comforted me.
Surely God is my salvation;
I will trust and not be afraid.
The LORD, the LORD himself, is my strength and my defense[a];
he has become my salvation.”
With joy you will draw water
from the wells of salvation.

In that day you will say:

“Give praise to the LORD, proclaim his name;
make known among the nations what he has done,
and proclaim that his name is exalted.
Sing to the LORD, for he has done glorious things;
let this be known to all the world.
Shout aloud and sing for joy, people of Zion,
for great is the Holy One of Israel among you.”

I Never Cared

I used to pass him everyday.

He’d be standing by the door every time I went in.

He never said much.
I never said much.

I didn’t know his story.
I never took the time to ask.

I’d just smile and nod as I passed.
He’d return the favor.

I’d go on about my day.
Never thinking about the man by the store.

Until,

I began to notice that he was no longer there.
No sign of his chair,
No sign of his hat.

All of a sudden,
I wish I had asked.

Why he stood there.
What his life was like.

If he had a home.
If he had a wife.

I guess I’ll never know.
What made Him who He was.

I never took the time,
to find out what he does.

We never know the stories of the people we pass everyday.
We never know what their dealing with or their place in eternity.

Today,

Take the time to find out.
Take the time to encourage.

The Most Encouraging Verse

I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” – John 16:33 (NIV)

This is one of the most encouraging Bible verses in all of scripture.

It’s the words of our Savior, assuring His people that He has our back.
It’s the words of our Savior, assuring His family that the trouble will only be temporary.
It’s the words of our Savior, assuring His followers that He wins the war.

No matter what is facing you…

No matter how big or how small…

Take Heart!

Jesus has overcome the world!
Jesus has won the battle that you’re facing.
He knows it isn’t in doubt.
He’s already won… The victory parade is coming around the corner!

One ‘Thing’

We all have that one thing…

That one thing we wish we could change.
That one thing we wish we didn’t have.
That one thing we wish we didn’t do.
That one characteristic we wish we didn’t display.
That one hangup that we wish we could overcome.

We all have that one thing…………….
