2 Most Powerful Words

THANK YOU.

It’s amazing what a simple ‘Thank you’ can do.

It has the ability to turn bad days into good days.
It has the ability to turn over-worked people into over-joyed people.
It has the ability to strenghthen the weak.
It has the ability to motivate the tired.
It has the ability to praise God.

But we’re not good at it.

We have trouble using these words with others face to face.

Sure, we’ll toss out a ‘Hey, Thanks’ every now and then,
but we seldom put any feeling behind the words.

For some reason it takes a certain level of strength to utter those words.
It requires that we humble ourselves and get to the place of realizing that we really do need others.
Maybe that’s why it’s so special when we actually do give a heart felt ‘Thank you.”

Whether you’re a…

  • Parent.
  • Child.
  • Husband.
  • Wife.
  • Leader.
  • Follower.
  • Boss.
  • Employee.
  • Teacher.
  • Brother.
  • Friend.
  • Worshipper.

Be intentional about saying, “Thank you.”

It  may change your day,
it may change someone else’s life.

Sleeping In

I love sleeping!
It probably comes as no shock to those of you that read this post.

But I love being able to sleep late and wake up feeling refreshed and re-energized.

Sometimes, that just isn’t possible.

Sometimes, responsibilities take over and keep me from staying in the bed as late as I’d like.
Sometimes, life happens in the midst of what I would really like to do.

I love sleep, but it’s really just because I like the rest.

In fact, one of the Pearsons’ favorite Saturday activities is staying in the bed even after we wake up.

That’s probably why I love this passage.

Matthew 11:28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Did you get that?

  • No matter what you’ve got going on.
  • No matter how many curve balls life’s thrown at you that you’ve swung and missed on.
  • No matter how much it feels like the walls are caving in on you.
  • No matter how many nights you’ve been kept awake by the pain.
  • No matter how tired you are from fighting the faithful fight.

Go to Him.
Sit in His presence.
Tell Him how you feel.
Confess to Him that you don’t know where to turn.
Sit in the silence and listen intently.

Go.
To.
Him.

Your Situation is Hopeless

The mountain in front of you is nothing compared to the God with you!

He is the Creator,
The provider,
The sustainer,

of

EVERYTHING!

I know it’s easy to write,
I know it’s easy to say,
I know it’s easy when it doesn’t apply to you.

BUT,

The truth of that statement means that even you…

Can find hope in a powerful God,
Can find joy in a loving God,
Can find meaning in an intelligent God.

Why Are Things Difficult?

This may seem really elementary for some, but it hit me like a ton of bricks today.
