What Lies Beneath: This Is What Matters Most

Mark 4:30-32 – And he said, “With what can we compare the kingdom of God, or what parable shall we use for it? It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when sown on the ground, is the smallest of all the seeds on earth, yet when it is sown it grows up and becomes larger than all the garden plants and puts out large branches, so that the birds of the air can make nests in its shade.”

A short post today…

more of a quick little snippet of inspirational thought…

What if the point of this parable by Jesus isn’t just about how a little faith can turn into a lot, what if it’s about something else too.

It’s not just that a little faith can go a long way,
It’s that a little, when planted in the right soil,
can grow to extraordinary heights.

Or, to put it another way…

It’s not the size of the seed, it’s the richness of the soil.

It’s not how you start, it’s where you stand.

If you’re starting a business
If you’re looking for a job
If you’re raising kids
If you’re trying to pay the bills

It’s more about the place you choose than the product you plant.

No matter how small your faith may feel,
no matter how small your step of obedience may seem,
no matter how insignificant your call may appear,
no matter how stupid you may feel,

Grow in good ground. Give it the feed of faithfulness. See the richness of Jesus.
