The Bridge From Words to Change

And the disciples went everywhere and preached, and the Lord worked through them, confirming what they said by many miraculous signs. (Mark 16:20 NLT)

Confirmation is the bridge from our words to real change. (click to tweet that)

No matter what we do, without confirmation, few people will be effected.

  • You can say you’re a good singer, people believe it when you confirm it and let them hear you.
  • You can say Jesus changed your life, people believe it when you confirm it by changing the way you live.
  • You can tell your children to treat others with respect, they’ll believe it when they see you confirm it by respecting others.
  • You can tell others that serving people is important, they’ll believe it when you confirm it by serving first.

Many times, we can get frustrated when we don’t seem to be getting desired results from what were trying to do or say. We try and try to get others to understand something and get frustrated when they don’t seem to get it.

Check the confirmation.
Look for change.

In other words put into action what you can do. Give an outward display of what God so richly has given you.

  2. Good one Jonathan. I have a Deist who reads and comments on my blog and this is one of his favorite mantras about Christ-followers. He is tired of hearing it said and not seeing it lived.
