5 Things You Can’t Do

by

in ,

I’m probably younger than most of you reading this. I haven’t got a ton of life experience, but I have made a few mistakes in my life and have learned that there are a few things that we can’t do and still live effective and productive lives. Here are 5 things we can’t do and be effective…

1. Care only about ourselves.

2. Believe that we have nothing to offer the world.

3. Allow our circumstances to control us.

4. Be negative people.

5. Live without a known purpose from our Creator.

So, for those of you that are more “experienced” (I didn’t use the word “older”), what would you add to this list? What can you teach me?

I believe I’m younger than you! Non the less my point would be never associate with those who don’t agree with your vision.

    1. haha… you may be.. not sure. Yeah. Definitely don’t let those people have impact on what you’re passionate about doing.

  2. I would think that you can’t be involved in sin and be effective.

    1. Agreed. None of us are perfect, but we definitely can’t expect to not have any discipline from God when we constantly do the same stuff. Thanks, Dan!

  3. A few things I would add, only because they are what God has been speaking to me lately:
    – build your own kingdom and think it will bring fulfillment
    – go it alone
    – find validation in others
    – stop dreaming

    1. Love those… Especially the first and last. Thanks man!

  4. I think an opposite would also be true Jonathan: believe no one has anything to offer me.

    1. Great point!thanks, Bill

  5. We can’t forget where we came from and the lessons that have brought us to where we are today.
