A Pep Talk From God

Need a pep talk today?

A couple of days ago, I was having a rough day and decided to search for scripture about what God thinks of me.

Here are the 7 that encouraged me the most. I thought I’d pass them along to you too…

“‘I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters,’ says the Lord Almighty.” (2 Corinthians 6:17-18, NIV)

“How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!” (1 John 3:1, NIV)

“All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.” (Acts 10:43, NIV)

“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'” (Jeremiah 29:11, NIV)

“The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him;” (Lamentations 3:25, NIV)

“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.” (Hebrews 10:23, NIV)

Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. (Psalm 63:3, NIV)

  1. A few of my favorite verses:

Psalm 22 Jesus quoted some of this on the cross. He knew God’s plan from the beginning.

Isaiah 53:5 Isaiah prophesied about what Christ WOULD DO (in the future), but he did so in PAST TENSE! It is amazing to me that Christ was slain “from the foundation of the world” (Rev. 13:8), yet He would be crucified in humanity’s future. (Mind-blowing)

Jeremiah 1:4-10 Jeremiah’s calling from God

Psalm 27:1-4 No fear! And David’s “one thing” that he desires turns out to be three things. Lol.

Hebrews 10:10 Jesus makes us holy!
