Almost Isn’t Good Enough – Wayne Elsey: Review

by

in ,

Almost Isn’t Good Enough compiles Wayne Elsey’s thoughts on leadership, non-profits, and impacting the world. For those of you not familiar with Wayne, he is the founder and CEO of Soles4Souls, a non-profit organization dedicated to putting shoes on the feet of people that know nothing other than walking barefoot.

Soles4Souls began as a response to a need and has quickly grown to one of the most trusted and effective non profit organizations that I know of.

Throughout Almost Isn’t Good Enough, Wayne chronicles his experience with growing and maintaining an organization and calls his readers to act on good intentions. As Wayne says so intentionally in the book, “I feel empowered knowing that what was most important was my decision to take action and do something rather than sit, wait, think, and plan.”

Wayne then outlines several key things for the reader to apply to their life that will cause them to act and not just dream. Each chapter brings a new and proven idea to inspire and teach readers how to have maximum impact in the platform they are called to.

The book is not just great for people that already find themselves in a place of leadership, but is a great read for anyone that desires for their life to count for something significant and make an impact on the world around them.

Simply put, the book challenges and coaches readers to not just dream, but accomplish something significant.

Perhaps the best way to give you a look at the book is to offer a couple of quotes directly from it’s pages.

“As Soles4Souls grows, the pressure builds from within and outside the organization to diversify and broaden our focus for, as some might argue, greater impact. Our resolve must never be diverted in directions that distract us from our purpose.”

“The problem with America is not capitalism, but people who are not willing to see the margin in their lives as a chance to make a difference in the life of another.”
