You Blog On My Blog

In honor of this blog passing the 1,000 comment point, I wanted to open it up for you (the usual commenter) to post anything you would like.

I’ll even pay the hosting fee! :)

It could be a favorite Bible verse.
It could be your blog’s link.
It could be a prayer request.
It could be a complete post.

You can post anything you want.

Just a couple of obvious (or at least they should be obvious) rules…

No profanity.
No pictures.
Do not post more than two (2) links (It’ll end up in my spam que).

So…….

  1. Isaiah 40:12-18, The Message
Who has scooped up the ocean
    in his two hands,
or measured the sky between his thumb and little finger,
Who has put all the earth’s dirt in one of his baskets,
    weighed each mountain and hill?
Who could ever have told God what to do
    or taught him his business?
What expert would he have gone to for advice,
what school would he attend to learn justice?
What god do you suppose might have taught him what he knows,
    showed him how things work?
Why, the nations are but a drop in a bucket,
a mere smudge on a window.
Watch him sweep up the islands
like so much dust off the floor!
There aren’t enough trees in Lebanon
nor enough animals in those vast forests
to furnish adequate fuel and offerings for his worship.
All the nations add up to simply nothing before him—
less than nothing is more like it. A minus.

So who even comes close to being like God?
To whom or what can you compare him?
    Some no-god idol? Ridiculous!

  3. Words fly through space – faster than time
the world wide web connecting those who would never have met
joined as one by the One
    one church
    one bride
    finding more similarity than difference

He is doing what He is so well known for – Redemption

    redeeming the airwaves
    as we glorify His name
    here, there, everywhere

He is blessed by your words, your heart turned toward Him!

  4. “Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid.” ~Prov. 12:1

One of my all-time favorite verses but it has to be this translation (NIV) for the best impact! :)

Thanks for all you do Jonathan.

  6. “I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Love that passage from Romans 12:1-2! Congrats on 1000 comments!
