The Sun Never Burns Out

A commonly heard scripture that God shed new “light” on lately in me…

Matthew 5:14-16 You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

There are 2 kinds of light…
1. Is the genuine.
2. Is articficial.

The sun is a genuine light.
No matter what, the sun is shining.
Regardless of the clouds.
Regardless of the time of day.
The sun is always shining.

A lamp isn’t a genuine light.
It can be turned off.
The bulb can burn out.
The power can go off and cause the lamp to lose it’s power source.

We are called to be the sun.
No matter what the occasion, we are called to shine our light to the world.

Regardless of the clouds that come our way.
Regardless of the time of day.

We are called to take our light wherever we go.
To church.
To work.
To activities.
To the community we live in.
To our home.

The people with the genuine light may be affected by the clouds, but they won’t be extinguished.
The people with the genuine light will never burn out.
The people with the genuine light will be used to grow others and light a darkened world.
The people with the genuine light will inherent eternal life.

Is your light genuine?

We are attracted to genuineness, like Sun, children, motives and so on, I think!

    1. True. Thanks for visiting!

  7. Yeah I agree. It’s not that we need to keep in the back of our head that we are Christians and have a duty to God, we need to learn to take it from the back of our head and move that to the forefront.

  8. This is truly a powerful reminder, as this world’s distractions can take our attention from the Light if we aren’t vigilant. By calling His Name, there is no situation that has any power over us. A cloud does not put out the sun. God Bless.

  9. Good point. Yes, scientists say that the actual sun will burn out in 5 billion years, but the real sun (or son) will return way before that happens, along with God.
