I’ve always heard the saying, “When life hands you lemons, make lemonade.” I guess there’s a lot of truth to that statement, but I’m starting to believe that it may be better if we throw back the lemons when we get handed them.
I believe in having a positive attitude and making the most out of the opportunities given to us, but I think it often causes us to settle. Sure, we should be thankful that God’s given us the lemons, but what if He has something much better…if we’ll just keep trying.
Don’t settle for lemons when God’s got an apple to hand you. Don’t make lemonade out of your lemons when you know the lemons aren’t in the will of God. Don’t get caught drinking your lemonade when there’s more work to be done and more success to be found.
Sometimes this may mean that we don’t take the first opportunity given when we’re looking to make a move. Sometimes this may mean that we have to scrap a whole idea and go back to the drawing board. Sometimes this may even mean that we have to leave what we’re doing.
Don’t settle. Keep pushing. Be positive. Experience success.
