The volunteer base in most churches is horrible. Most churches have trouble finding good volunteers and just as much trouble keeping volunteers. There are, however, always some that are willing to do whatever needed, whenever needed. These are the ones that understand that the work they volunteer to do is important to the church, essential to the progress, and insured by God.
1 Corinthians 15:58 assures us that doing God’s work is a healthy investment. So much of what we spend our time on every day is meaningless in the grand scheme of eternity. Most of the tasks that we accomplish and the work that we do is great, for a time, but then eventually meaningless. However, we are assured that the work that we do for God and His kingdom will not go to waste.
Who wouldn’t want an investment like that in an economy like this?
