Matthew 28:19-20a “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you…”
When I graduated high school, I graduated with a guy who was the first member of his family to graduate high school. His older brother and sister had tried, but bad circumstances forced them to drop out. I still remember the day that he found out that he had passed the necessary classes and had enough credits to graduate on time. He called his mom as soon as he found out. I still remember her yelling on the other end of the phone line. His mom swore that she was going to call everyone she knew to let them know that the family now had a high school graduate.
I can’t help but think that our reaction to learning that our eternity is secure should bring even a greater reaction. In fact, our appreciation should be naturally displayed in our everyday life, works, and words.
